We have been in La Paz for over 7 months, 6 months longer than planned. We have a love/ hate relationship with this place. The weather is great (most of the time), the locals are fantastic, the local cruising community are genuinely giving and Mother Nature has blessed this place with sea life you will not see anywhere on earth, and therein lies part of the issue. We are travelers and didn't plan on being here so long and these qualities have been part of the reasons we are still here. We also Really didn't like the hurricane season!
But I thought I would post a few pictures of La Paz and our favorite bar/restaurant, The Shack. The Shack has a long history with cruisers and we do also. It's a long story, that we will share later, but if you ever find yourself in LaPaz you should look it up. You'll love it!
The first pictures are of "The Maelcon" (sp?) which is a very long and beautiful walkway along the waterfront, which is where you'll find The Shack.
