Removed the old sail!

And that was easy :)

He hates having his pix taken, so I sneak a lot of photo's of him!

Our feathered neighbor..he fishes for sardines next to the boat every night.

She started!!! Purrs like a kitten. It was the starter, my  man's a genius and had her running in no-time. Still waiting on the sail..turns out the UPS guy came, but no one was at the office, so they'll try again tomorrow. Walked into town and got some more groceries. James is currently trying to remove old main-sail...I think the sail's winning and I'm going to see if he needs help!

James drove the car back to Berkley marina so we have a way to the house when we get the boat home, which is starting to feel almost impossible since when we tried to start it last night it would not turn over. James thinks it's the starter. I found an engine book he can read when he gets home. He's got a flight at 6:51pm and will arrive at Long Beach airport at 8:15...however public transportation sux here, so I have no idea what time he'll get back...boat will be spotless when he does get here!

Day two begins with instant coffee, not bad with enough Coffeemate, way to early because the sun shines thru the v-berth (bedroom) hatch first thing in the morning..will be covering this hatch tonight with an extra sail. Grocery shopping, got dry ice for the ice-box, yes ice-box LOL, works great if we keep it full :) Had fuel checked, looks ok, says we'll make it to San Francisco. I know we did more, and I'll try harder to post more often.

After driving from Milton-Freewater Oregon home to Sacramento in 1 day (Saturday the 10th) we left about 9am and made it to San Pedro (temporary home) at about 6:30pm..great time, exahsted remembered the key to enter the marina....and don't have the number for the padlock on the boat. Frantic calls to Sara (thank you girl!) and we're in! Strong drinks, little unpacking an that concludes the first night on "Call of the Wind".
